I presume this is a scam?

Go to solution

I received the following email, supposedly from someone called Somiya Said (at arabdt DOT com).  I have presumed it to be a scam and reported it as such  - I would never follow a link in an email and wouldn't expect BT to sent one like this.  In the message below the word VERIFICATION replaces a link.  Just thought I would double check on here and see if anyone else has received similar.

Hi @MariaH,

Thank you for taking the time to share that here and for also reporting it.

You did the right thing reporting it as that email is 100% a scam message.

We will never ask you to upgrade your own mailbox through a link. If we need to make changes, we will do them at our end and you will see the result when you log in.

Thank you
